Hungarian developer Zen Studios may be best known for its pinball simulations, but it’s always experimented with other genres, like in CastleStorm and KickBeat. Circus Electrique is not exactly trying to hide its Darkest Dungeon influences, but it does look like an interesting spin on Red Hook’s strategic RPG.
There’s a lot to think about here, and so we reckon the trailer does a good job of breaking it all down. You’ve got to consider your classes – strongmen, fire breathers, clowns, et al – as well as their position in battle. Then you need to take into account details like their morale, lest they whiff with all their attacks. And, in addition to all that, you’ve still got a circus to host!
It’s one of those games that does look potentially headache-inducing with the sheer number of details and statistics to consider, but obviously success will feel super rewarding as a result. While it does ultimately seem quite derivative of Darkest Dungeon, we really like the look of all the different classes, as well as the London backdrop. One to watch, for sure!

Seems like a darkest dungeon clone, but the good thing is that it has brighter visual and characters. I really enjoyed the gameplay of darkest dungeon but couldn't continue just because of dark theme and ugly characters imo
Cool.Darkest dungeon and streets of rage 4.best indie games ever.word up son
Darkest Fungeon?
Reading this headline hurt my brain.
Looks pretty cool tbh
I'm a bit wary of this; The Amazing American Circus was supposed to be a novel spin on Slay the Spire - but I found it to be quite a flop.
Darkest Dungeon was scary enough before adding clowns………
